Sensouzi

Omotesando entrance gate. In the gabled octagonal gate, there is a statue of Fujin on the right and a statue of Raijin on the left, so it is officially referred to as "Kaminarimon". After the burning, temporary gates were sometimes built, but in 1960, the permanent gates were rebuilt with reinforced concrete. A businessman, Konosuke Matsushita, prayed for Kannon Asakusa and made a donation to remedy the illness. Inside the gate is a large lantern donated by Panasonic. Lanterns are folded only during the Sansha Festival and the typhoon.
Only the head of the statue of Fujin Raijin is old, and the body has been destroyed by fire. Repair and coloring were added when the gate was rebuilt in 1960. Between the back of the gate, a statue of "Kinryu Tenryu" is laid. Kinryu in the west is a Buddhist priest, Yasuo Sugawara, and Tenryu in the east is a sculptor, Tanaka Hirakushi, who was dedicated in 1978.
